Reasons:
Software Problem: The Blue Screen Of Death (BCOD) in this case arises during or after installation of a new software. The reason might be non-compatiblity of that software on your system. The BCOD won't allow you to reach the desktop.
Solution: Obviously, when the BSOD is not allowing you to reach the desktop then how can you unistall it. The answer is simple.Open the computer in Safe Mode.
Restart the PC/laptop keep pressing F8 i.e. continuosly pressing and leaving.
in the system startup screen select Safe Mode> Enter.
now the Desktop will open . Go to Start> Control Panel >Add & Remove Programs
search for the "culprit" software and uninstall.
Note: By pressing you might enter system setup, press "Esc" to leave and continue pressing F8 till you reach system startup screen.

Hardware Problem: Now this is a problem which is hard to solve. BCOD in this case arises when power is cut off while running of a hardware component like the CD-ROM.
Solution: You will find various solutions on the internet but I have tried them all and found them either nonworking or very hard for a normal PC user. So it is best to send it for repair.
Note: The Software problem solution won't work in this case.
